The Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club, in conjunction with The Foley Family Trust, has established the Bill Foley

Education Scholarship.  Bill was one of the leading Cricket Administrators in the State and was President of the Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club when he died in September 2007 at the age of 72.  Amongst Bill's passions were the value of cricket and education in building young peoples’ opportunities in life and a value base to become engaged participants in the community.
The Scholarship – valued at $10,000 – will be offered each year to assist an aspiring young cricketer under the age of 21 years with his or her cricket and education costs.

Education Scholarship.The Scholarship – valued at $10,000 – will be offered each year to assist an aspiring young cricketer under the age of 21 years with his or her cricket and education costs. The Bill Foley Cricket and Education Scholarship will be awarded annually – commencing in 2009 – and will assist in meeting the cricketing costs and costs of post-secondary education.  In keeping with Bill’s philosophy, the Scholarship holder will be of good character, be an aspiring cricketer with development potential who plays in accordance with the “spirit of the game”, have cricketing links to the Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club and/or the South East Country Region and be undertaking or have made a binding commitment to a suitable post-secondary education undertaking – whether as a Vocational or Academic pursuit.
